Duluth Benziger Family Pic 2019 |
There are no shortage of amateur photographers among the Benziger family so I decided to leave it to the pros (Bob, Nicole, Zachar and Danika) to document the trip while I went along for the ride.
Here are some of the highlights from our week long trip in early June with nearly the whole Benziger clan (Bob, Kim, Keith, Nicole, Zachary, Danika, Seth, Theo, Marit and myself) starting in Duluth with a Monarch Butterfly festival and a trip to Gordy's Hi-Hat in Cloquet. Then when the Aurora Benziger family arrived we relaxed on a boat tour of the Twin Ports before heading up the North Shore Scenic Highway with stops at Gooseberry Falls State Park, Split Rock Lighthouse, Grand Marais (where we stayed at the East Bay Hotel and ate at the World's Famous Donuts), Grand Portage State Park and the high falls, Grand Portage National Monument (where I got my passport book stamped), and last but not least, Lutsen and the go-karts. It was a great trip and hope you get a taste of this amazing place we call home!
