Haircuts, trains, and turkey

It's been another busy month - mommy was working at the hospital a lot leaving daddy to play with me when he's not working, and Algena, my nanny, plays with me the rest of the time. We had our first Thanksgiving dinner at our house. Daddy cooked the 12 lb. turkey, mashed potatoes, Grandma's meat stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans with almonds, and we got two delicious pies from the Senior Center nearby. Mommy and Daddy are very thankful for many things, friends and family (even though we were unable to spend time with them this weekend), the internet (so we can facetime and join in their festivities), and me (and I am thankful for all my toys, especially the peek-a-shoe octupus ball game, my batmobile car, trucks, trains, and balls). We are thankful for our new home and Mommy's acceptance into Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Washington next year.

Development - 16 months
I can walk up the stairs one at a time and I can fly down on my belly. I'm pretty tall and I've figured out how to climb on the kitchen chairs and check out what Mommy and Daddy are doing on the table. I like to use a fork and spoon. I can say "duck", "that", "goat", "moo" and a few other words. I sign please and more to tell people what I want. I love my new train table. I go to swim class with Daddy every Saturday at the local pool and I'm learning how to kick and blow bubbles. I like to play on the big kid side of the playground and I climb up and go down the slide on my belly all by myself. I like to play hide and seek and I'm always on the move. Enjoy the photos!

 My first haircut
I decided I wanted to be more like Daddy and since he just got his hair cut by Tommy at the salon down the street, we stopped by today for my turn. I was a little skeptical but then Daddy held me and I admired myself in the mirror while he trimmed my baby hairs. What do you think?

  1. He's growing up to be such an all star. I love the Octopus game photos. His facial expressions are perfect! Can't wait to see him in January!
