Reflection

Image
This is Papa checking in with my reflections after my vacation in Lima.  In no particular order: Theo's communication skills took a step back in Peru.  He is using less English and signing has fallen by the wayside.  While it was slightly disappointing to see this as I can't wait to start talking with, and not to, Theo, it was alleviated by the realization he gained another skill - the ability to understand Spanish!  And this isn't meant to be a "my kid is the smartest kid in the world" type thing, but more of an astounding realization of the nimbleness and absorption powers of a young brain.  When asked, "dame un besos" (give me a kiss) he duly responded.  In another situation I found stunned when Katie basically told him in Spanish that it was time to go and we were leaving, he promptly grabbed his toy cars and headed to the front door! The kid is a climber.  He will attack any piece of playground equipment with reckless abandon.  He will slip now

Daddy came to visit!
