Greenwood car show

Image
The Greenwood Car Show was yesterday three blocks from where we live on Greenwood Ave. Seth was out of town and would definitely have wanted to go but I had forgotten all about it. I was planning to take Theo to the zoo when we got stuck in our car and weren't able to cross the street because it was closed for the car show so I figured we might as well go walk around since it only happens once a year. Theo loved it; from the 1924 fire truck to the dozen vintage police cars and from the VW campers and buggies to the colorful classics - Mustangs and Corvettes. The Car Show is one of the top Seafair events and has been going on for over 20 years. There were over 500 cars and Theo had lots of fun posing in front of different cars (and eating his rice crispy treat). 1956 Kaiser Darren from the LeMay collection   VW bus 1924 Fire truck Who wants to go to the beach? Graduation

Why did they dress me up in this silly outfit? Auntie Annie came to visit!! We spent some time hanging out near the Puget Sound at the fancy Shilshole Bay Beach Club where Mommy had her UW Residency Graduation Dinner/Prom. This is Mommy's fourth graduation (high school, college, medical school and now residency) and she has only one more to go (cardiology)! Mommy squeezed into her high school Prom dress (despite being 15 weeks pregnant with my little sibling) and she made me wear this funny vest. Auntie kindly took me home early so Mommy and Daddy could party with her co-residents. On Saturday we took an early ferry to Bainbridge Island to visit some of Auntie's friends from high school that were in town. We hung out at Fay Bainbridge park throwing rocks and crabs and went to the Farmer's Market. It was a fun weekend and it was nice to spend some time with Mommy and Auntie. I miss you Auntie! Portland get-a-way and graduation

Bubbles! We headed down south to Portland to meet up with some of Mommy and Daddy's friends for the weekend. We went hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail outside of the Hood River. It started out as a nice leisurely, flat, out-and-back hike to a nice waterfall along Herman Creek that was supposed to be no more than 2 miles each way. After about 4 miles (and all uphill), we realized we took a wrong turn and were clearly not anywhere close to the large waterfall and decided to turn around. We did stop to admire a nice smaller waterfall and I enjoyed throwing rocks and getting wet. I walked/ran down hill for over half the trail back to the car and passed out before we left the parking lot. I was pooped (and so was Daddy having carried an extra 35 lbs). We had lunch at a brewery along the Columbia River and the city of Hood River, which is famous for the wind surfers and sailors. I played along the beach and enjoyed getting dirty in the sand. We hung out in Portland on Sunday an
