One, two, three, FOUR!

Most of the kids at my 4th birthday party - Evie, Marit, James, Zoe, Siena, Theo, Greta, and Braddock (Silje and Endre not pictured) We celebrated Theo's fourth birthday this week, once in Minnesota on the actual day, and then today with a few friends from Miss Janet's pre-school. We had a great time seeing our cousin, Evie, and first cousins once removed, Lauren and David, and second cousin, Mark, as well as lots of Mommy and Daddy's friends. There were more kids in Auntie Annie and Uncle Eric's house for Theo's 4th birthday than ever before but luckily they have lots of toys and open space for us all to run around. We ate delicious pizza and ice cream cake from Dairy Queen and swam in the pool. Mommy was busy all weekend interviewing from jobs so we can move back to Minnesota next year and spend more time with all these fun people! Exploring the PNW like Lewis and Clark!

Indian beach on the Oregon coast From the Emerald City to the City of Roses and from the shores of the Pacific Ocean to the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, the Pacific Northwest is full of breathtaking views, beautiful waterfalls, serene beaches, and wonderful friends. Lewis and Clark expedition, commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson after the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, was lead by Captain Meriwether Lewis and Second Lieutenant William Clark. The goal: map the newly acquired territory (from St. Louis to the Pacific Ocean), prepare maps and find a practical route across the continental divide, and last, but not least, establish the good ol' American presence (Happy 4th) before another country (such as Britain) tried to claim it. #Brexit. It took two years (1804-06) and the expedition was full of hardships and danger, successes and collaboration, and exploration and discovery but now we get the benefit of having many of these wonderful state and national parks practica
