Six months old and loving life!

It's official, I'm an over achiever! Daddy took me to my six-month check up and I weighed in at 20 lbs. 9 oz. (90 percentile) and was 28 3/4 inches (95 percentile) tall! The fun ended there though because then they poked me like five times and even made Daddy shed a tear or two because I was so upset. Mommy and I get to go on an airplane in a week to go to South America to visit her friends and do a rotation at a hospital there.  Other updates in my life, I rolled over (finally)! I still love my toes and I can even get them in my mouth now. I have been eating solid foods, like homemade sweet potatoes and carrots, and lots of oatmeal. You can see highlights of the last few weeks in the video below (~3 minutes). Grandma and Grandpa Pastorius were in town for a couple nights before they headed to the white sand beaches of Oahu.  We had fun going for walks in the "cold" Seattle weather (30 degrees) and eating home cooked food and, of course, lots of smiles and laughs.

We hiked in a beautiful valley along Gold Creek and then wandered through the woods until we ran into the actual groomed ski trail. The pine trees were blanketed in snow and as high as the top of the picnic tables! The snow flakes floated down from the sky and landed perfectly on my long eyelashes. Mommy ran around with her tongue sticking out and trying to catch them (luckily we didn't fall over!). Three hours later we were back in the car and my cheeks were a bit rosy but I
