Last Day of School
What a year. In August we worried it was never going to begin and now we can't believe we finally made it to the end. Not sure how many days of actual school there were (and it seemed that nearly half were done at home) but at last it is officially over. COVID-19 had There were no holiday concerts. No holiday parties. No parents allowed in the buildings. Kids could only play on certain zones on the playground and only with their class and could not mix with other classes at lunch or recess. They wore masks from the time they left the front door of the house to the minute the got off the bus in the afternoon. They made friends. They had specialists - music, art, gym, media.

My teacher was Miss Forbort. I like her. She is pretty. I hate school. I do hate school. I hate waking up. I hate getting dressed. I hate brushing my hair. I wore a mask everyday. I love part of school. My friends are Nicholas, Caleb, Britta, Shea, Arthur, Everett, Micah, Ellery, Adalyn, Sophia, Wililam, Adrienne, Isla, Jack, Nyla, Mae, Quinn, Mari, Amara, Armoni, and Asher (everyone in my class). Everyday I went to the bus stop and got on the bus and got to school. I sat by Theo in my assigned seat. Then I ate breakfast and lunch and came home. I play with Natalie.

I love school. Miss Cuneo is the best. Math stations, craft projects are my favorite part of being in the classroom besides recess, lunch, brain break and snack. My friends are Lydia, Elanor, Sebastian, Bode, Sam, Daniel, Victor, Mae, Victor, Cabot, Ella, Emily, Gracie, Hudson, Iris, Ally, Ansel, Ruby, Ariana, Hattie, Evelyn, Harrison, Clara, Luke, and Zeke, basically the whole class. We got extra time of the playground. We did writers workshop. But to sum up the year in three simple words: worst year ever. We had to wear masks and it sucked. I wish Miss Cuneo would be my 3rd grade teacher. I was moved into Miss Norton's 3rd grade class. I had daddy school. I couldn't play with my friends on the playground because we had zones. If I had to chose between daddy school and real school I'd pick real school because my friends are there. I can't wait to go back to Congdon in September! The end.
