Let it snow! Let it snow!

Mommy and me getting ready to go snowshoeing at Gold Creek
Another busy weekend in Seattle! Annie Borton and her friend, Malia, came to stay with us and see how big I've grown. We went to the Pike Place Market (again) and then rented snowshoes from REI and headed east on I-90 over the Snoqualmie Pass to Gold Creek. We only had to get out and push Mommy's car three times (why we didn't drive Daddy's Audi with 4-wheel drive I'll never know) but we made it and the snow was awesome!

We hiked in a beautiful valley along Gold Creek and then wandered through the woods until we ran into the actual groomed ski trail. The pine trees were blanketed in snow and as high as the top of the picnic tables! The snow flakes floated down from the sky and landed perfectly on my long eyelashes. Mommy ran around with her tongue sticking out and trying to catch them (luckily we didn't fall over!). Three hours later we were back in the car and my cheeks were a bit rosy but I was otherwise toasty in my polar bear outfit. Can't wait to go again some time!

Grandma and Grandpa Pastorius are coming to visit this weekend on their way to Hawaii. I can't wait to show them my new high-pitched squeal and give them lots of juicy kisses.

My new Macalester friend, Katie Clifford, gave me this cool "Hi" shirt from Hawaii (and I drooled all over it)!
