  • What's the best thing about your birthday? Seeing all my friends and family 
  • What's your favorite thing to do? I don't know...video games, Legos, basketball, soccer and disc golf and hanging out with friends and family 
  • What do you like to do with your family? Stuff...agate hunting, swimming, sports, travel
  • What do you like to do with your friends? Sports, video games, trampoline, and chill
  • What is your favorite color? Black
  • What is your favorite book? Hazardous Tales books
  • What is your favorite TV show or movie? Star Wars
  • What is your favorite song? My Pandora playlist
  • What is your favorite toy? Legos
  • What is your favorite game? Video games - Minecraft and Fortnite. Board games - Uno, Monopoly and War
  • What is your favorite animal? Gecko
  • What is your favorite food? Beef fondue 
  • What is your favorite drink? Horchata
  • What is your favorite fruit? Blueberries, mango, pineapple, bananas and any tropical fruit 
  • What is your favorite vegetable? Edamame
  • What is your favorite breakfast food? Crepes with chocolate and bananas
  • What is your favorite dessert/treat? Strawberry shortcake 
  • What is your favorite restaurant? 1. Chicken and What?  2. King of Creams. 3. Subway. And that delicious Korean BBQ place in Chicago 
  • What is your favorite holiday? 4th of July and Christmas 
  • What's your favorite season? Summer
  • What are some of your favorite things to do? Soccer, basketball, skiing, swimming, video games, trampoline, playing with friends and eating food
  • What is your favorite thing to do with dad? Play disc golf
  • What is your favorite thing to do with mom? Besides traveling, convincing her to buy me Legos 
  • What is your favorite thing to do with Marit? Argue
  • Who are some friends you like to hang out with? Finley, Hoyt, Jonas, Jaeger
  • What's something you've learned from your friends? I've learned a lot of things 
  • What's a quality you value in your friends? Athleticism, smart, kind, funny
  • What is the best thing that ever happened to you? Besides being born, Brickworld 2025 in Chicago was the best 
  • What is your favorite subject at school? Math
  • What activities (sports, clubs, etc.) do you participate in? Gitchi Gummi soccer, East basketball, East football, knowledge bowl
  • What do you want to be when you grow up? Don't know. I'll figure it out eventually 
  • Who do you admire and why? Besides Mom and Dad, no one
  • What do you like to sleep with at night? Puppy is the most important but Lion-y, Mr. Bear, Blueberry squishmallow, Elephant-y and Sock Monkey and Surgery Sloth and my 3 blankets, that's all.
  • What are you scared of? Mom, and heights, and horror movies
  • If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why? The power to beat anyone at anything, to win everything 
  • Where is your favorite place to go? My bedroom because it is a very comfortable place
  • If you could go anywhere on a trip right now, where would you go? Costa Rica, Hawaii, or Iceland 
  • What would you do if you had a million dollars? I would save half of it, then put $300k into a CD for 10 years and then maybe buy some new Legos and then buy a house once I have more money
  • What are you thankful for? My family, everything that I have, my friends and my talents
  • What’s your favorite thing about yourself? Everything!
  • What are you really good at? I'm pretty good at soccer and basketball, and ok at football and I'm good at beating my sister in arguments. I'm pretty good at video games, too.
  • What is a skill you'd like to master? Parkour
  • What's your favorite thing about your home? How nice it is and all the Legos
  • When you grow up, where do you want to live? By my parents or in a tropical place that is warm and hot and has beaches and oceans and never snows and is always above 50 degrees.
  • What is a goal or something you want to accomplish this year? I want to get all As
  • What are you really curious about right now? Star Wars lore and backstory 
  • What do you want to do on your birthday? Celebrate! I want to have beef fondue, open presents, and play with presents, build Legos and do stuff with my family and then have strawberry shortcake 
  • What do you want for your birthday? Legos and Nintendo Switch 2
  • Is there anything else you want to add or say? Nope, am I done now?

RMNP road trip 2024 - by the numbers

 Road trip out West by the numbers We just returned from a 2 week road trip out West. We drove over 3000 miles and saw some amazing scenery. Enjoy the pictures at the end.  9,449 - elevation of the popular scenic trail Bear Lake, an alpine lake below Hallett Peak on the Continental Divide in Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). We hiked around Bear Lake and then down to Alberta Falls our first day in the park together as a family. 7,203 - elevation of Inspiration Point that overlooks Jenny Lake, the scenic lake at the base of the Tetons, as well as Jackson Hole and the Gros Ventre Range. We hiked the 2.2 mi Cascade Canyon Trail to Hidden Falls and then up 450 ft. elevation through a conifer forest and along a steep granite ledge to Inspiration point.  1982 - the year a breach in the earthen dam at Lawn Lake brought down the wall of water and created the Alluvial Fan in RMNP. BWCAW Entry 14 to Shell Lake

  Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) summer 2024 trip We had a perfect week in the BWCA. Blue skies every day, highs in the upper 70s, lows in the 50s. No rain. Minimal bugs. We had a fantastic site. Nice day trips and picnic lunches. Caught some fish. Played games and roasted s'mores. Other than the full moon putting a damper on the night sky and northern lights, it was basically a 5 stay week! We made some haiku's the describe the trip, enjoy! BWCAW Haikus  by John, Seth, Katie, Lauren, Theo and Marit Entry one-four, go! Two canoes paddle by turtles, down winding river.   Portages we go, Hauling packs, paddles and poles. Makes voyageurs strong! Theo and Lauren carried their canoes 200 rods. They voyageurs now. What's a perfect site? Great views, tent pads, jumping rock. We hit the jackpot!
