Thanksgiving weekend (better late than never)
While Mommy was working in the intensive care unit, Daddy was busy preparing delicious meals for us for Thanksgiving dinner. A very rare all female medical team in the cardiac intensive care unit at University of Washington (left to right): nursing student, ARNP student, ARNP, cardiology fellow - me, my cardiology attending (MD), PA, pharmacist, and senior cardiology fellow (MD) We were so fortunate to have Grandma and Grandpa Benziger come visit for Thanksgiving weekend and we invited Mommy's friends, Martins and Angela Blums, over as well for the fourth year in a row (and after the exploding stuffing incident from last year , I'm a little surprised they said agreed). It was relatively uneventful and unbelievably delicious - highlights included cranberry relish, cranberry wild rice salad, sausage stuffing, cauliflower, and of course turkey with apple and pumpkin pies.
